I’m a Research Scientist in Physics at Brandeis University’s MRSEC, where I study bioinspired materials. I am also a Lecturer in Brandeis University’s new Engineering Program, teaching ENGR13: Modeling and Simulation.
I draw on my background in Mechanical Engineering (Rochester Institute of Technology 2009, and University of Pennsylvania 2015) to develop model-based strategies for steering and designing synthetic and biological active systems toward desired spatiotemporal configurations. Insights into controlling active systems will advance soft robots, biomaterials, and techniques for culturing tissues.
